An encouragement to prayer
Prayer for our children’s (and grandchildren’s) future.
Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Pray for the Holy Spirit and Word of God to challenge us in the area of nurturing faith in our children.
Pray for families to be aware of the post Christian world our kids are entering.
Pray that parents will grow in wisdom with regard to nurturing their children.
Pray for the development of skills and values to support parents in their task.
Pray for churches to be aware of their calling to children.
Pray that church leaders will see the urgency of this matter and act upon it.
Pray that church leaders will develop an intentional strategy.
Pray for churches/congregations to be active in their equipping of children.
Pray for targeted preaching and teaching to equip parents, families, children … indeed all in the faith community in the area of nurturing faith in our children.
Pray that God will help us and show us how we can do this purposefully in the place where we are, with the children that we have, and the situation we are in.
